✨ Quick Start (Emoji Edition)

Follow these steps in order. Keep your recovery seed offline and private.

🧰
1) Unbox & Inspect Check the hologram/seal and packaging. If something looks tampered, stop and contact support.
🔌
2) Connect Your Trezor Use the original USB cable. Open trezor.io/start in your browser (type it manually, don’t follow random links).
💻
3) Install Trezor Suite Download Trezor Suite for your OS from the official site. Open only after verifying the download source.
🔐
4) Create a New Wallet Choose Set up as new device (for brand-new) or Recover wallet if restoring with a seed you already own.
🧾
5) Generate Recovery Seed Write down the 12/18/24-word seed shown on your Trezor screen. Use paper or a metal backup. Keep it offline, private, and legible.
🧪
6) Confirm on Device Confirm each word on the Trezor device (not on your computer). Never type the seed into any website or app.
🔏
7) Set PIN Choose a strong PIN. Memorize it and store the seed separately. The PIN protects day-to-day access; the seed recovers funds.
⬇️
8) Update Firmware (If Prompted) If Suite asks to update, verify on the device screen and keep the cable connected until complete.
🏦
9) Add Accounts & Receive In Suite, add the coin/network accounts you need, then use Receive to get your first address. Verify the address on your device screen before using it.
🧯
10) Backups & Test Store seed in a safe place (consider metal). Do a small test transaction first to confirm everything works as expected.

🛠️ Common Troubleshooting

  1. 🔄 Device not recognized? Try another USB port/cable and restart Trezor Suite.
  2. 🧱 Firewall or antivirus blocking? Allow Suite or temporarily disable, then re-enable.
  3. 🔍 Address mismatch? Always cross-check on the Trezor device screen before sending.
  4. 🧩 Browser bridge issue? Ensure Trezor Bridge is installed when prompted by Suite.
